New for 2012 – Shayna Stearns joins Team Stickhead as Girl’s Lacrosse Director. Shayna brings talent, experience and creditibility to Team Stickhead after a successful playing career at University of Louisville. We are excited to have the experience and expertise of someone like Shayna. Shayna will bring a wealth of knowledge to the program and take us to the next level.
Janaye Dzikewich, University of Louisville women’s player. Janaye is a five year varsity player for the Cardinals. She played in all 17 games last year and started the last 8 games of the season. Ranked second in the Big East Conference in caused turnovers. Janaye was a U-19 Canadian National Team player. Multiple local and regional club awards. We are excited to have someone of Janaye experience on staff for this summer.
Haley Marvine, Transylvania University Women’s Head Coach to consult with Team Stickhead girl’s U15 summer program. Team Stickhead is excited to annouce that Coach Marvine will be joining the sidelines during our 2012 summer program. Coach Marvine brings a wealth of knowledge as a player, club developmental coach and NCAA head coach. A former standout goalie at University of Cincinnati, Coach Marvine will be a valuable asset to our defensive unit.
Team directive and goals: This competitive programs will be made up of Kentucky’s most advance female middle school & youth players who have the desire and ability to play at the highest level of lacrosse and are looking to play the best competition in the country. An emphasis will be placed on advanced coaching techniques and visibility of team talent.
Team tournaments are selected to provide players with the ability compete against other regional teams. The teams will strive to play in upper divisional brackets, so as to play the best competition from around the region. Practices will be fast paced and focus on advance points of game level offensive & defensive strategies, along with advanced team concepts.
